About Us
Passport Pals began with one family, three young kids, and a 15-pound backpack stuffed with crayons, snacks, and storybooks. When a new job took us to Southern Germany, we decided to make the most of it—weekend adventures, long drives, early flights, and countless “are we there yet?” moments.
Over the next four years, our little explorers visited more than 20 countries. We discovered that traveling with kids isn’t easy—but it’s transformative. Between hikes through ancient ruins and dinners in lively piazzas, we wanted our children to not only see the world, but understand it. To wonder about the people they met, the foods they tried, and the stories behind every place we visited.
But keeping them engaged on long car rides or at dinner tables without screens was a challenge. That’s where the idea for Passport Pals was born: a travel companion that sparks curiosity, encourages connection, and makes every journey a learning adventure.
